Sounds like the "Festival Express" DVD - featuring the acts you mention including the best band in the universe ever - the Grateful Dead. A tour by train across Canada if my memory serves me correctly. Still available from Amazon (.com or .co.uk) or the wonderful SPINCDS from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne in the UK. Greetings from the mother country - temporarily away from my base in Thailand.

Yep; it comes up here now and again, and many of us (me, BD I think?, others) rank it as one of the BEST rock-doc-flicks ever.

Great stuff. If you don't have Festival Express, stream it as mentioned by MDewd, buy it outright, or rent it (it is available at most mainstream sites; I see it all the time in BBusters, etc.).

Be sure to check out the special features stuff.

As Bob would say "it's BOSS!"

You can stream "Festival Express" here:
http://www.mogulus.com/classicacidtv
Click the "on-demand" link and scroll down to choose the movie.
It's not the best quality, but those who may wish to get the dvd can preview the film.
